I am interested in seeing whether the new pay-for install solves the problem for Tpgettys it may include and automatically install the missing link. Seeing as Sepiana has no problem getting Color Efex to work on two separate machines and it is not working for either of you guys, it is possible that you may be facing a similar situation as I was. I downloaded and installed the missing file and the program immediately started working as it should. On both of the identical Windows 7 Pro machines, trying to open the program would get a splash screen, it would immediately disappear, and then nothing whatsoever, as if the program had never been opened.Īfter much investigation, it turned out that some sort of DirectX version was present on the two Home Premium machines and absent on the Pro machines. The program would launch and work perfectly on the two Home Premium machines. Their priority was to fix any serious bugs in the Nik Collection software and ensure the software used the latest code libraries. Following the purchase of the Nik Collection from Google, DxO commenced development. I took advantage of the free deal and installed it on four machines, all 64-bit two were Windows 7 Home Premium and two were identical Windows 7 Pro. Fortunately, there was a lifeline for the Nik Collection when DxO purchased the assets from Google. Some time ago, they were giving away full Elite version of DxO lifetime ownership for FREE. I had a similar issue with an entirely different program and the culprit may be very similar to you guy's situation.
